Serious question... need serious answers only!?!

Question:

Serious question... need serious answers only!?

6wks ago, recvd time off work due to stress. Went to psych he diagnosed me Paranoid, almost schizo (if I don't take meds it will progress). Went to him for depression and stress!
Go back to work Monday, still nothing resolved. The meds help, but I am always tired, even moreso now. I don't believe I am ready to go back to work OR the diagnosis is correct.
I am becoming more depressed because I don't see any options. I have to go back to a stressful situation, even more stressed than before (due to diagnosis).

Co-workers will hate me if I take more time off, but I know I need it.

I have thought about ending it all because of the stress, but know that is weak. I am strong, still somewhere inside. I have no one to talk to, no one understands. I am not making this up, this is real. I am afraid. What should I do?

I am not being treated for depression, just paranoia...
Doc doesn't even listen just gives me drugs and says come back next week.

Answers:

Your mental health is more important than your job. Take some time off and perhaps try a different job. There are always more options available than you first think.

If you don't trust the professional help that you have already recieved then trust yourself and go get a second opinion. Even for experts, mental health problems are hard to diagnose exactly.

Get help but also help yourself. I've suffered from depression too and I know that its no laughing matter (hehe - Oh c'mon a little humour can't hurt). Do things that you know you like and are good for you. You will be surprised how simple things can help.

For me its playing music and doing exercise. That always makes me happy no matter what state of depression I'm in. There must be something out there that makes you happy every time. (make sure its healthy too)

You can get help from the most unlikeliest of places. I went in to get my bike repaired and I was a little stressed out from my job in a new city and do you know what the bike guy told me?

"breathe in, breathe out - the rest is just details" (worked for me)
