how do you know if your being emotionally abused? what qualifies as emotional abuse. a 14 year old girl living with her mom and her moms husband... what would qualify as emotional abuse directed towards her? please give examples or websites or something, i've heard emotional abuse can really have bad long term effects and i want to know if it counts or not? i cant say what the things are, its too hard to do that, but i just want to know, thankyou

i know to tell someone if abuse is happening, but i dont know if it qualifies as emotional abuse, or what happens after i tell, i mean, with physical or neglect, theres proof, theres no proof with emotional, how do they make sure, what if they dont think its true and then they have to stay at their house and things get worse?

im so sorry to hear that you think you are emotionally abused. most likely if you think you are, things aren't right in your home. i answered one of your questions earlier and it brakes my heart to know how upset you are and what situation you are in. any emotional abuse would "qualify" as emotional abuse toward you. you refered to your parents as your mom and your mom's husband, would you happen to have a father that you can talk to, other than him. if you do, go to him and open up. if not, a relative, church person, counselor or close friend could help you. good luck. i really hope you get out of this situation. try and smile, even if its just once today.
