Is anyone else on Zoloft?!

Question:

Is anyone else on Zoloft?

And what do you think about it?
I have to say I was reluctant to start on it, but I'm actually loving my new chemical life! I have confidence now, anxiety is at a minimum, as is depression. I'm on an even keel and enjoying life and meeting people! Has anyone had any bad side effects, or good experiences with it?

Answers:

Been on Zoloft for 3 years. Saved my life. I take 100mg and it works like a charm. Everyone responds differently to each medication out there. It really is trial and error.

Side effects of Zoloft. The usual SSRI stuff. Increased sweating, some sexual issues, stomach pain for a few days, headache etc. Most of those are gone if a few weeks. The key to Zoloft is to go up slowly. (25mg max each week) Most of the studies show that doses less than 100mg are not that effective. The target range for dosing by most shrinks is 100mg up to 150mg. 200mg is max. Take it once a day. I take it at night. Makes me tired. Some people take it in the morning bc it is stimulating. All in all Zoloft is a good drug. Generic these days and Lexapro is now the King of the SSRI world.
