Examples of an investigatory project?!

Question:

Examples of an investigatory project?

Answers:

There are investigational studies and investigational drug studies. They are to determine the effects of medications or other factors.
One example is how stress effects pain. Another example is trying a medication for a new condtion that it was not previously used for. Often studies have a placebo group and an active treatment group. The placebo group gets a sugar pill with no active ingredient. The active group gets the real medication. This way they can figure out if the drug is really causing side effects or if the person already has them without the drug. Blinding is a way that studies are conducted. This means that the patient does not know if it is placebo or active drug so that does not influence the results. Sometimes the nurse and doctor as well at the pharmacist do not know which patients are getting active drug and which are getting placebo.
