Question:

I've been taking the base dose of escitalopram for years, but last night my depression came back?

I'm going through a job change which I guess involves stress.
What are my options?
Thanks

Don't rush into anything. You say your depression came back last night? That's a very short time to have passed to be thinking about making more changes. In order for depression to be diagnosed you must have the symptoms for a period of two-weeks. It is possible that you were having a really bad day, or are maybe having a bad few days... feeling depressed does not always mean that you are experiencing depression (strange i know!!). I would advise you to look after yourself particularly well during this stressful period of change. Make sure you have a good diet and get plenty of rest. Exercise is the best thing for managing stress, and also depression for that matter. See how things go for the next couple of weeks and if you still feel that you might be experiencing something more than a 'bad patch', go and have a good chat with your doctor.
