I am SUPER scared of planes and flying. Can I get Xanax or something to help with that?
My bf and I want to fly out to Vegas and get married next year, but I'm SOOOOOOOOOOO scared to fly. Plus my ears won't pop when I'm in a plane and it's PAINFUL. Can I have my doc prescribe me something to relax me?

Actually I prescribe xanax for patients in the situation you describe. The reason is that I was petrified of flying and was required to fly often because of my job. I used xanax for a while when I had to fly and was able to desensitize myself from these unfounded fears. After a short while I would carry a xanax in my pocket (just in case) but found that I didn't need them any more. Now I LOVE to fly and look forward to every new trip. Best wishes...Actually have your doc write you a script for a small amount of xanax.....say 15. Then try one before you have to fly and see how well it works for you. Then by the time you have to fly you'll know that you won't have to experience that terribly paralyzing feeling of panic.
