How do the meds make you feel differently?!

Question:

How do the meds make you feel differently?

When I was diagnosed with depression, I was scripted with Zoloft. I never felt a difference at all and sometimes felt even more depressed. My question is, with various disorders that you might have, how did the meds make you feel differently?

Answers:

meds seem to affect everyone differently. For me, SSRIs made me feel unreal; I didn't like the idea of taking drugs to cope. I generally find that some coffees have the interesting affect of eleviating my depression/anger problem, which is pretty severe, with violent thoughts. Without some substance to lift my mood I can't make it through the day without exploding at an innocent person.

Part of the reason I suffer from depression is a previous addiction to Ativan (benzodiazipene). Even perscription drugs can cause serious problems so you have to be very careful.

Now, its just coffees for me (no soda) and that seems to work.
