Have anyone used novo-lorazem? If yes, I need your help?!

Question:

Have anyone used novo-lorazem? If yes, I need your help?

I get severe anxiety attacks and my doctor is recommended novo-lorazem 2mg. I researched quite a bit, and found out, this medicine makes you addictive and if you stop taking it, you may go crazy. Please guide me if you have more information or you have had used it, thanks
PS: I also have problem with my sleep.

Answers:

I was prescribed Xanax, which is in a class of drugs called "benzodiazepines." Novo-Lorazem is in the same class of drugs, and is a very similar drug, same effectiveness, and same addiction level.

I took Xanax every day for two years. I like you, mainly had a hard time sleeping. I suffered all day long with Anxiety, but when it came time to go to sleep, I was simply unable. I was mostly afraid that I would die in my sleep, have a heart attack, etc.

Yes these drugs can be addictive, and when you are wanting to stop taking them you need to slowly get off of them with the help of your doctor, but they are necessary at times.

I went through therapy, (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and learned to cope with my Anxiety. I am now off of the Xanax completely, and have learned excellent coping skills. I believe I would be crazy today had I not been given Xanax.

My suggestion would be to take the medication, and get into therapy. A good therapist will teach you how to learn what is causing your anxiety, how to cope, and will help you learn how to anticipate an attack before it even comes on.

I really sympathize with what you are going through. Anxiety is a terrible illness, and it will drive you crazy. Anxiety is a vicious cycle and you become Anxious about Anxiety. You are already anxious that you are going to be addicted to this drug. Relax, get into therapy, and take your medications. You will overcome this.

Also, I had hardly no problem getting off of the medication. Once I realized what was causing the anxiety in my life, I was able to change it, and become mentally healthier. Anxiety manifests itself in all sorts of physical symptoms.

Here is a little background as to what I went through, hopefully you can relate, and this will ease your mind.

About two years ago while working as an Office Manager for a Physician who specializes in Internal Medicine, I started getting shortness of breath. I thought I was going to die of a heart attack, I am 29 years old, and was only 27 at the time.

really was convinced that I was going to die. I lived a nightmare for two years until the physician I work for helped me understand Anxiety and how it affects you not only mentally, but physically.

I would just like to share some of the oddest feelings and physical pains, I noticed when first getting Anxiety were...

-Persistant pain under left breast on rib cage

-Dizziness

-Seeing floaters

-Shortness of breath

-Dry mouth

-Feeling of tight throat

-Unable to have anything touch my neck...I first noticed this when my stethescope was around my neck. It drove me nuts, now it is so bad that I cannot wear a turtle neck and when getting a hair cut I cannot even tolerate having the drape on my neck.

-Feeling like I was literally sinking into the ground. And sometimes I feel as though I am floating. This is a very strange sensation.

-Palpitations

-Chest Pain

-Rapid Heart Rate (more than 100 BMP while resting)

-VERY difficult time concentrating

-Insomnia (probably my worst time for Anxiety as my biggest fear was never waking up from sleep)

-Fear of death, I was and still sometimes am pre-occupied with the fear of dying. I probably think of this at least 50-100 times daily.

-Cramping in my legs

-Numbness/tingling in hands and feet. This is also known as poor circulation.

-Stiffness in my neck. This pain was constant for 2 years. It got so bad that I swore I had meningitis.

-Back Pain

-IBS, due to stress and Anxiety

And the list goes on. As a result of Anxiety I felt so many different physical pains which lead to more Anxiety. Anxiety is a VISCIOUS cycle that will drive you absoultely INSANE if you allow it to.
