What happens when you go to the er for suicide thoughts?!


Question:

What happens when you go to the er for suicide thoughts?

what happens when the ambulance picks you up if you are suicidal, do they take you to a mental hospital ER or a regular ER? And if they do take you to a regular ER what do they do? They don't usually have psychiatrists at regular hospitals do they?

Answers:

I think they take you to the regular ER, and call in the psych team. If you are having suicidal thoughts, call the suicide hotline in your state and they will help you.
