Question:

The reason why I think I can't sleep anymore is because I am worried that I won't sleep.?

How can I get over this? I just lay there in bed all night resting. I can hear everything around me, and never feel like I can get into a sleep mode.

i had this exact same problem a while ago, i didn't sleep one night and then the following night I was so worried that I wouldn't sleep that I ended up not sleeping at all again.
i had some good advice that includes others ways to promote sleep:

No caffeine after 4pm and nothing to drink after 9pm
Eat your evening meal by 7o'clock if possible, otherwise ur body is bsuy trying to digest
A hot shower or bath before bed is good
Gentle exercise during the afternoon, perhaps a swim

You have to go to bed thinking, ' i don't care' relax, and even try to start a dream in your head and you shud fall right into it.
If you worry about not getting any sleep then of course you wont, if you haven't fallen asleep after about 20mins, get up, read a book for a bit and come back to bed a short while later. don't lie there stressing about it.
