Why do people think they have the right to smoke any were they want?

I was a smoker until 10years ago when I watched my mum become ill and slowly die from smoke related illness some 8 years later. I was a 40 a day man but I respected people that did not smoke espessly when eating out. If people want to endure all the illnesses that come from smoking that is there chose. The ban is great if they want to kill them selves do so at home away from you innocent children. If I was as wise at 15 I wold never have started & 40 a day for 30 years mmm maybe I would have been very rich on the money that I could have saved.

I cannot wait until this weekend. It has been too long coming!!!I will be able to go in pubs, restaurants and clubs without having to breath in other peoples smoke and then go home stinking like an ashtray.

Oh and as for billybonzobones - you shouldn't even be smoking inside your house if you have children. they will breath in the smoke even if they don't come in the kitchen. If you insist on smoking when you have children then you should do it outside and so that they can't see you. Also what most people do not know is that the damaging smoke stays on your breath for about an hour afterwards, so if your children come for a cuddle or sit on your knee within an hour of you smoking you are still damaging them.
