I think i have anger issues. how can i solve them without seeing someone.?!

Question:

I think i have anger issues. how can i solve them without seeing someone.?

ok im usually a happy person. i usually look on the positive side of things and if im down all i really need is to talk to friends. not even about why im blue just about anything and im great. but then sometimes all of the sudden i get really mad. it can be about the littlest thing. i will tell myself in my head that its not that big of a deal but it comes out of my mouth that way. its almost like my mind tricked me into thinking that whatever the situation was its still a bad thing. i snap at my boyfriend a lot and most of the time i think its his fault. then when i think back to it, it was such a stupid thing to get so angry about. sometimes when im mad i throw things. when im angry my head feels like its going to explodeto the point where tears roll down my eyes. i get my anger more when im frusterated. how can i fix this problem. without seeing someone? i dont have the money for it and i think my mom thinks its a waste of time.

Answers:

I have often wondered why others are against medication and therapy. I have even wondered why there are those who suggest on Yahoo! Answers that the solution to mood problems is/are positive thinking. There are really good alternative therapies available to help people, but they are just that - alternative. I have found in my own personal life that the only way that I overcame (overcome) depression, anxiety, anger, fear, and all of these negative emotion are through medication and therapy. Like you said, you're generally a positive person, and then you get angry and snap and you don't know why.

It is not a waste of time nor is it a waste of money to get treatment for a problem. Mental illness is a physical illness with physical symptoms and a physical treatment. But it is also psychological and in the mind and also has to be treated in that way. You can't really fix the problem without seeing someone because any number of things could be causing the problem. Talk with your doctor and find out what you can do to be less angry. Find the cause and you come up with the solution. Good luck.
