Prozac and Trazodone Effects?!

Prozac and Trazodone Effects?

i'm only on my second day of taking these two medicines for depression w/ anxiety and a bit of insomnia..

they are working fine but the prozac:

gives me a fever at first..makes me feel anxious
i get small stomach aches
and dry mouth isn't that nice :D

but the trazodone before i go to bed makes me sleep like a log, and it hurts..i still wake up but it's so fuzzy around..and i feel tired in the morning (probably because the sleep hasn't worn off yet..)

how long to the effects usually take to ware down..

it's my first time taking any kind of antidepressant so of course i'm very nervous..

yes, that is completely normal with the prozac...they are all adverse effects...sometimes it takes a few days for it to really get into your system and start taking effect properly. As for the trazadone...let your doc know, as they should adjust your dosage. It may be too high for you. I know it's taken at night because it also helps you sleep, but you shouldn't feel all tired in the morning....and that doesn't sound fun! So just let them adjust the meds, and don't get discouraged with it being your first time on antidepressants, because you may find in a couple of weeks that those particular medications don't work for you, so something else may be tried. I know alot of people get overwhelmed with this, but you'll be fine! good luck, and I hope the side effects wear off soon!
