Is it true that typical antipsychotics block dopamine receptors, while atypicals block serotonin receptors?

just trying to make sense out of my professors crazy notes. thanks!

Answers:

All antipsychotic medications (both typical and atypical) work by blocking dopamine receptors and well as having some effects on other neurotransmitters, including serotonin. Newer forms of atypical medications have effect serotonin levels.
