Is there a way out for me?!

Question:

Is there a way out for me?

I am 25 and started to have panic attacs and severe generalized anxiety 6 months ago when I was far away from home in another country. My boyfriend was with me and he was my only support for one month while we were there. He understood my condition completely and suffered with me as well. When I got back home my parents took care for my condition, took me to the doctor who gave me medications. For a while I was perfectly great. But now I have to make the biggest decision in my life. Since me and my boyfriend live in different countries, I suposed to go to live with him. I love him very much, but I am so afraid to go out from home. On the other side I don't want to lose him. Because all of this my anxiety came back and I am again in the middle of nowhere. I know that nobody can make this decision for me, but I would like to ask for some opinions. How to manage to be more decisive and back to normal again? By the way my parents are not supporting me to leave them.

Thanx in advance

Answers:

About the panic attacks. Learn to BREATHE. Take a long bath, light some candles, put on soft music, go for a walk,
Tell yourself, This to shall pass. Or this will be over soon. Learn different techniques to cope with it and make it less severe. You could also use your imagination. What relaxes you? Try doing whatever it is. As long as it's not drugs. That will make it worse over time. Continue to go to counseling and medication. As far as being more decisive, I'm not really good with that one. I'd say try to look at things from all different angles. Make sure you can live with the decision you make. For this in-particular decision, realize anything can happen, anywhere, anytime. You should still do things you want to. You also might want to learn the language, if it's not English and you don't already know it. Worrying about it isn't going to change a thing. Just make sure you have a way home if things don't work out. This guy sounds like he really cares about you. IDK You also have to face whatever is causing the attacks. Maybe it's being in a foreign place. Maybe it's something else. LOL
