Do my parents have to know if i want a therapist?
I need one, but my mom knowing is the last thing i would ever want. I am underage does she have to know or is there a way i could see one for cheap?

if you are under 18 yrs and are not an emancipated minor, your parents have a right to your medical care. but, what is said between a therapist and patient of any age is confidential unless the patient states that a crime has been committed. if you think you need counseling, do it.
