Answers:

Chemicals in your brain (serotonin) have depleted it is very normal and common.
Start off by making sure you are getting enough vitamins and rest. Take Vitamin B supplements for stress and Magnesium is great for nerves and anxiety. This can help depression symptoms too.
Try a homeopathic spray or drops.
Try taking a herb called St Johns Wart if it gets too bad. It is a natural anti depressant and not as harsh as the chemical ones that you have to wean yourself off. But allow it to take 2 weeks to work and it may make you a tiny bit drousy so take it before bed for a relaxed sleep.
I use it as I have suffered depression for over 10 years of my life and I am only 30yrs old. I take St Johns nightly as part of life now so I dont slip into the slump again. I team it with lots of magnesium and vitamin b and i feel great.
It really works. Dont be hard on yourself it is natural and you should take time to have long baths and put epsom salts in there and soak and relax (maybe some lavender oil too) Get a nice tea or a yummy decadent surprise and enjoy it!
(They say to eat potatoes to replace serotonin too!)
I also found writing a gratitude journal helped me. (whenever someone gave me a compliment or i did something i enjoyed i wrote it down and read it later, it lifts you up and makes you notice the good things more and makes you smile about them as you'd usually forget them! I saw it on Oprah years ago - it worked)
