Why do people keep preaching that life is worth living?!

Question:

Why do people keep preaching that life is worth living?

I threatened suicide with a shotgun and wound up in a mental hospital for 18 days. When I returned, I found that more than $2,500 worth ot items had been stolen (I believe by my landlord). The cop who arrived to respond to my complaint about the theft said, "Can you just forget about it?" My landlord chose to evict me. The judge ruled that, because threatening suicide with a shotgun is a crime (even though the cops told me I had committed no crimes), I had no right to counsel or even to a jury. It was all a farce. The shrinks told me that my psychosis caused me to threaten the suicide. So I am being punished for being psychotic. The only cure for psychosis is death. So, guess what I shall soon do.

I suppose it sounds corny, but sometimes we all do need somebody to lean on. The first two responders (Chotchi and TYF) are typical. When they have a chance to offer solace to someone in need, they merely gloat at their own happiness. To them, the world might be better off without me. But not so for the others. I thank the other responders.

Answers:

If you really wanted to kill yourself, you would have done it already instead of just threatening to do it. I've never preached that life is worth living. I would however say that I think my life is worth living. Get back on your meds.
