Answers:

Hi,
From what you wrote i can tell immediatley you care alot about your friend and her well-being perhaps more than the other friends you described as i feel a diary is a very personal thing to someone and should not have been read. your others friends sound like they dont understand they are upsetting your friend.

By writing a diary it appears your friend is in need to let out emotions and thoughts in a safe way to tell her that your other friend read the diary and discussed it with you might only push her trust away from you.

I think you have the right idea about telling your friends when you are taking things too far because they might not realise they are doing it and it may help alot.

You could let your friend who you suspect is cutting herself know how much she means to you and tell her that you are worried about her because you have noticed how she has been acting or about the effect your other friends might have had on her. I know doing this either way she reacts she knows that you care and you are there for her which will mean the world and make her think more about what she might be doing to herself. you dont have to bring up self harm at all. In time if you try to keep her confidence up she will be more likely to confide in you.

She's lucky to have you! keep up the good work. If you need any more help you can always email me

Your doing fab!!
