Football Extra Time?!

Football Extra Time?

Hi could anyone tell me how extra time is awarded in football. eg end of first half you get maybe 3 extra min. How do they decide on how many mins to give. Thanks


Answers:

Extra time is decided by the stoppages during the game... it depends on how often the ref has to stop game play.

This could be because of fouls, Injuries, substitutions and so on....
