Prozac and weight gain?
Hi i been on prozac for 6 months, do they make u eat more and pile on weight, the leaflet says could lose appetite not more. Has anyone had Thanks Calligas

Hi there,
i have been on them for about 7-8 weeks. Typically as you say they are meant to reduce appetite..well they do in certain individuals. they are given to people who suffer with bulimia but usually they are on 60mgs a day...and it's a bit ironic as over eating isnt usually the only problem of a bulimic (from personal experience). Tablets effect everyone in different ways and it is possible that they are making you eat more, if you are unhappy about this please consult your doctor, putting on weight could lead to you feeling depressed too so it needs to be addressed if your concerned.
