Psychiatric evaluation?!

Psychiatric evaluation?
All I know is they are going to ask questons. But I'm scared. Mostly because my Mom will be there and I'm talking to a complete stranger. Is the test written? Is this when they'll tell me if I need medication? I go for my evaluation tomorrow. Can someone give me some advice.

there will likely be a part with your mom in there, but also a private part with just you and the doc. there IS a written test, for depression and/or anxiety. but they dont always do that. they'll ask a LOT of questions, and your job is to be as honest as you can with them. you may or may not need meds. not everyone does. the doc may just recommend counseling.
everyone is different. dont be scared, a lot of people go to a psychiatrist. it will be ok!
