How avoid day-dreaming and mind-drifting?!


Question:

How avoid day-dreaming and mind-drifting?

Its really difficult to concentrate on job or study, with sleazy mind drifting and day dreaming? suggestions, tips, exercises, drugs?

constraints=> marriage can't afford, dating social taboo in country,
self-sex amplify day-dreaming, country change requires study-focus (GRE high score). how to get out of deadlock/cyclic-dependency?


Answers:

i daydream a LOT. it has it's helpful side.... creativity.

however, when you need to get stuff done, it's so hard! i make lists of what i need to do. take one major task, like, applying for jobs or finishing a painting. (i'm an artist). i make the list and divide the major task into very small tasks ... things that take me about 10 minutes to do. then i check things off. when the list is done, i've completed a more major task.

i do not suggest drugs for something as normal as daydreaming. give yourself time to have those daydreams... keep a journal. it's natural to have thoughts.
