Hi:

I also suffer from Bipolar 1, anxiety, depression and more. First, I am sure that you already know that Bipolar is not a diagnosis to fool around with and it must be taken seriously and it sounds as that is exactly what you are doing and that is great.

Keep your therapy and doc appointments as this is important. You are medicated, so make sure you continue to take your meds even if you feel better. The reason that you feel better is because the meds are working, that the meds away and you will probably head into another cycle and that is what you are trying to stop.

It is very hard to have young children, in a marriage and on disability for a crippling disability at times. I understand. I was there. In any situation but even more so with a situation as this you need a solid support team as does your husband. That is so vitally important. You have an outlet, your docs and your therapist and it is always easier for a woman to speak to her friends about anything than it is for a man.

Make sure your husband continually learns oabout Bipolar as one can never know it all, but knowledge is understanding and understanding is a building block for any foundation to be solid be it marriage or anything else. Hand him mini articles to begin with that are easy to absorb and slowly increase from there.

I would also recommend that you both join a support group. your decision if you join the same one or different ones. A different one may be better only because then you will both feel secure if saying what you feel with out being cautious of the other one.

There are so many different suggestions that you can get from others with Bipolar and they are always willing to share what has worked and what has not for their particular situation.

A few of us here are starting a Bipolar and More support group on Yahoo Groups, anyone with Bipolar and it's sub diagnoses as anxiety, depresion and more are welcome.
