Has anyone out there been treated for this? What kind of shrink does this and what were the results?

Poor girl, don't take any notice of the fool who gave the first answer because if you are repeating yourself, it means that you are in need of comfort and not abuse. She's a Greek, what more can you expect? Yes, regressed memories are a curse to humanity if the content of those memories are negative on a personal level to yourself. There are a lot of amateur psychiatrists out there and they will only confuse you. Do see a professional doctor because he will be able to help you deal with your problem and maybe prescribe some medication which will take away the horrid feelings. There is no magic pill or potion that will make it go away in an instant but learn to love yourself and involve yourself in confidence building exercises and cognitive thinking, I had the same problem but I am now very happy with a new wife and I am sure that once you are on the mend you will deal with those hurtful thoughts and feelings and I am 1000% sure that you are able to get your life back in order. Remember, this issue is about you yourself so accept no second best and demand your rights to the full.
