Depression, hormones, immaturity..?!

Question:

Depression, hormones, immaturity..?

I dunno whether this is just me being over dramatic, stupid or anything else, but here goes.
I constantly have what seems like OTT mood swings. One minute I can be hyper happy and the next I just want everyone to leave me alone so I can sulk.
I keep pushing friends away because I don't want to bother them with my insignificant problems and yeah, I know they're there for that, but why should they really care? I don't want to pester them with it.
I also over-use alcohol. I don't feel that it's a problem in itself, just more the fact that if I'm drunk, I can use it as an excuse to do whatever I want. I mean, to talk to people, get upset etc while having the chance to laugh it off later.
I'm gonna sound all emo heh, but I really hate the person I am. I've lost quite a bit of weight, but still feel utterly disgusting and not worthy of people's affections. I keep being hit on while out and hate it. Nights out are fun, I just don't see what the attraction is! I'm rambling now :/

I'm 20, have been getting the mood swings for as long as I can remember. I used to self harm from as young as 6 I think and stopped around 16-17. I don't use alcohol *specifically* for feeling crap, just offers a release without much consequences I guess.

It is difficult to answer your question due to more questions of my own. What is your age? How long have the mood swings been occurring? How long have you been using alcohol as an escape or to change the way you feel?
I would strongly suggest that you contact your local mental health facility for an assessment. If you cannot wait, please call a national hotline. There is help for you. Please call.
