Answers:

I'm glad you took the step to get in treatment. I know it isn't an easy one. I've been in an out of therapy for almost 8 years. Expect to get a whole ton of questions your first day, not a whole lot of "therapizing" as my dad calls it (he's actually a psychologist). Your therapist may refer you to a psychatrist eventually to get you stablized on medications. He/she will likely start you coming in every week or so until they feel you're stable enough to go to every other week or so. You need to make sure that you don't keep anything from your therapist. They aren't there to judge you, they are there to help. If you're under 18, your parents will have to sign a contract acknowldging that the therapist cannot tell them anything unless you are in danger of hurting yourself or other people, so don't be concerned about him/her telling your folks whats going on. It's confidential. Again, if you're under 18, your therapist may have you come in with your parents every once in awhile if he/she feels that there are family dynamic issues that are leading to your problems.

I hope you're doing better. I'm thinking about you.
