That's a very good question to ask especially for someone who has autism. It shows that you have a good recognition of the problem you have. Remember autism is not a mental disorder but a learning disability. Some people with autism are more affected than others. Some people who have Asperger's Syndrome can be very bright and intelligent, it's just they have problems with social interactions and general socializing skills. There is no definitive answer as to why people have autism. It's like some electrical signals in the brain get mixed up and open up the wrong gates so to speak. They have made a lot of headway in America with this problem and have found that diet helps a lot. You are just a very normal person who has a learning difficulty. Many who have the same thing have gone on to lead very rewarding and satisfying lives. There have been some very famous people who have suffered from autism. But as I said this is a good question. I have worked with autistic children for quite some time so I have some experience of the difficulties you might have. Good luck
