Has anyone here overcome their battle with anxiety...?

Has anyone here overcome their battle with anxiety without the use of antidepressants? If so, how?

Anxiety isn't easy and the longer it goes on without help it only escalates bringing with it new disorders to add to your problems.
I definitely agree totally about writing down everything you are going thru, no matter how small or how silly it sounds to admit.
When I was at my worst I would write down everything I was feeling or thinking. It helped more than I would've thought.
I took the notes with me to see my doc and it really helped him to understand, cos sometimes its not that easy to remember the important things to tell him at the time. Especially when ur anxious, memory loss is common.
I eventually resorted to taking Xanax daily for the last year to stop the attacks. Nothing else worked for me and after dealing with the anxiety for so many years I got worn down until I had a serious nervous breakdown for about 1-2 months (I don't remember it, only what my doctor and partner told me).
I'm a very strong woman and I never thought it would happen to me. I still exercise every day and eat well but without the Xanax I would be a shaking mess. It's something I should've been taking long ago. Make sure u get plenty of opinions before u decide on what to take or whether u need to take anything at all. Some people manage to deal with anxiety on their own, but as mine was left untreated for way too long I ended up with more than anxiety.
Unfortunately I haven't overcome my battle, but its not due to lack of effort lol.
Remember...
Write EVERYTHING down, everyday if u need to. It's a good reference to monitor whether you're getting worse or better.
And definitely see a few different doctors, preferrably ones that have an interest in this area.
