I'm 31 years old and nervous to start a relationship with anyone I'm interested in due to little experience?

I get nervous just talking to her let alone asking her out! What's wrong with me. Anyone else in the same boat?

Don't worry have you ever heard the expression "the only thing you have to fear is fear itself"? It is a very famous and very true statement. Confidence is all in our minds just like fear is. Have you ever stopped to think about the good side of having little or no experience? When people are in relationships they can sometimes develop emotional baggage which you can carry on to the next relationship, people will compare the previous to the new one and if treated badly, can expect the same bad treatment from the new person, which causes lots of problems. This is about as difficult to experience as it is to write, sorry about that.

Basically the past can lead you to a more complicated or difficult time in a new relationship, but if you have no experience it is like you are a clean slate. This means you don't have bad memories to prevent you from doing anything you want. I personally think it is kind of cute when guys wait, because usually a man will say and do anything to get in a girls pants, so by waiting I would think you would be more respectful, sensitive, have self control and would appreciate a woman by being faithful instead of running around behind their backs lying/cheating on you.

I know it seems overwhelming to start a relashionship with someone but experienced or not you both will always need to learn how to do it together, everyone is different. I think the best thing for you is remember; that fear and confidence are controled by you, with your own mind. Focus on the good aspects of having less experience, and how good you will be to her. Forget any negitive ideas, just be open for new possibilities.

Usually I just say what pops into my mind and I thought everyone should know: The guy that started KFC, was a man in his I believe late 50's who was broke and had nothing but a great chicken recipe so he thought he would sell that. He ended up living in his car for about 2.5 years driving to every place he could trying to sell the recipe. He sold it to the 502 person he asked. You know the rest I find it inspiring for some reason and wanted to tell you.
