Anyone taking xanax?

I have been taking xanax for 3 months, about to run out, my medical doesnt cover me anymore,
Question Details: I am in the process of changing insurance providers, however kaiser cancelled me a week early and I cannot get my prescription refilled.....anyone know what I should do?? I only have enough pills to last me until friday, if that!! I have tried calling kaiser, but they cannot help me, because I am no longer an active member....I am taking on blue cross/blue shield, who require 60 days for any pre-existing conditions, so I wont be able to be seen for at least that long....any suggestions..please???

I am afraid to just stop taking it, not sure about side effects, things like that! please help!!

Easy fix..Call your dr. and tell him/her what happened, and ask for samples. They should have no problem helping you out. Another fix if your dr. doesn't have any samples on hand, is to call your local (county) medicaid office and ask if there are programs that help with prescription drugs. Usually there are, and they can hook ya up quick.
