My husband has add can this effect decision making?
our marriage has been thru alot because of his add. He makes bad decisions and has little attention span. Is this an excuse or does this condition cause alot of problems in relationships?

Yes, It cann be a big strain one of the biggest symptoms is IMPULSIVITY which will have a huge effect on decision making.
My wife almost left me until I was diagnosed in my late 20's. Even after being diagnosed and starting daily Concerta it has been very trying for her.
I'd say the meds have helped but me making a constant effort to make behavioral changes on myself and to "self-monitor" my behavior has been at least as important.
"Additude" magazine is just ne resource that provides help and suggestions to family members of people with AD/HD, I wouldn't be surprised if you looked around if you found a forum or information specifically for spouses, Good Luck
