Withdrawal symptoms when coming off depakote?
Anyone familiar with this drug and some side effects you can have from weaning yourself off the medication? There is nothing on the web for this type of drug. I have been weaned off other meds in the past and have been advised of their side effects. Any help would be appreciated.
I have been having horrible stomach problems since I started the weaning process and are now off completely and have been for a little over a week. Horrible stomach pain as well as acid reflux, which I have never had.

Yes, it is used for Epilepsy, but is also used for bi-polar disorder. I was on it for bi-polar disorder and was advised by my dr. that I needed to stop taking it and wean myself off becuase we were putting myself on something else.
