Answers:

first of all do not be ashamed of how you feel, it is not your fault. if you just cannot seem to get out of your depression it again is not your fault. you should see your doctor, and tell him that your antidepressants are not making you feel better. sometimes it takes a while to find out the right antidepressants, that work well for a person. you also i am sure are discussing this with your counselor. sounds like you are not crazy but depressed, and sounds like you are trying to help your self by seeing your doctor and counselor. when you say i might go back over seas if it means in Iraq then that could be the reason you are depressed also. i hope this helps good luck to you hang in there, and yes i do know of people who were very sick and have recovered. if you are talking about going overseas to get away from it all, it probably will not make you feel better, but may make you feel isolated and more alone.
