What is your oldest memory? As in your 1st childhood memory?!

Question:

What is your oldest memory? As in your 1st childhood memory?

My husband insists that he can remember as far back as when he was 1 year-old. Is that really possible or he's just kidding me as usual?

Answers:

Memory is a tricky thing. My earliest memory is being carried up to the front door of the house that we moved out of before I was one years old. I remember very few things before I was four, but some of them do stand out; like what I was two, my mother being pregnant with my little brother, and I very distinctly remember the day he was born. Memory experts believe that a three or four-year-old child can remember most things back to when there were one years old and if they are reminded of them by their parents or the menory had a strong enough emotional attachment, they have a good chance of remembering them later. If not, as the brain develops most of the memories are forgotten. there is no real way to tell if your husband is kidding you or not without asking his parents "if this really happened". It’s very unlikely that he remembers his life as a one-year-old the same way he remembers his life as a 14-year-old, but it is possible that he may have some bits and pieces or fragments of memories going back that far.
