Stressing out?
When someone tells me to do something I should be doing in an upset vocie, it stresses me out to the max until I cry. How should I solve this problem.
Answers:
First mentally prepare yourself by rehearsing the situation so you will be ready for it. When it occurs, inhale slowly for the count of ten and exhale slowly (like blowing out through a straw). This calms you down. Second, mentally switch gears, kind of day dreaming, listen to what they're saying, not how they are saying it. Distract and busy yourself not with the persons upset voice, but anything else. Practice. Write a list of why this stresses you out, the worst possible thing that could happen (get fired), and the likelihood of getting fired. Remember, you're not alone, people go through this all the time. Best of luck.
