Involuntary commitment into a psychiatric hospital. Call a crisis line or during business hours you can go to the county mental health probate court magistrate and file a lay affadavit. Physicians, psychologists, and licensed clinical social workers can also do involuntary commitments if they are able to see the person and determine their condition.
A deputy or police officer ...or two or more depending on the situation...(in some states contracted ambulance like services may do this) will take the person to a hospital that is an emergency receiving facility.
The psychiatric facility will hopefully keep the person until he or she is no longer suffering from drug induced psychosis....then, of course, they will recommend ongoing substance abuse treatment...but if the person refuses...they can't be held once they are stabilized to the point of no longer being psychotic.
