Scared of my tongue?
Well i've recently read Cujo, and I read how the kid (don't remember any names) was choking on his own tongue, since it went down his throat (or something similar). I am self-conscious about this, and every time I move my tongue around I'm scared that that might happen to me. Is that even possible and how can I get over this =(

There is a fallacy concerning the swallowing of the tongue. A person does not swallow their own tongue. It goes to the back of the mouth obstructing the airway. That is why when CPR is given, you have to clear the airway as the tongue is usually up and back to the back of the mouth. Stop obsessing over it, and if you have a tendency to do this, maybe you should select different reading material.
