When reading books, directions, magazine articles, etc...?!

Question:

When reading books, directions, magazine articles, etc...?

Do you feel like not reading the entire entry, paragraph, etc, although you are interested, but just don't feel like being bothered with reading it and wasting time? I've felt this way for ages. I begin to read a sentence and my eyes just quickly scan through it without picking up everything. Sometimes I even mix up words for other words. God, I hope it's not dyslexia. It's not that I don't know how to read, it just feels like I'm wasting time. My mind wanders to something more interesting. I know. It's awful.

It's funny, though. When it's something I type (or wrote) I read it completely through word for word.

Oh, and I just noticed that sometimes I read the first few sentences of a paragraph (like an answer on Yahoo! Answers) and I completely skip the rest.

I do the same thing. Except for reading what I write (I honestly hate my writing). But it's normal to skim read things just to get the gist rather than reading all the way through. How else are you supposed to do all the required reading for life?
