Side effects of Zoloft?!

Question:

Side effects of Zoloft?

Can memory loss be a side effect? I took Zoloft for over a year and my doctor was worried about me taking it so long because he said he wasnt sure what the side effects were for minors even though im a older teen. Im worried because lately i have been acting really forgetful and im worried that this could be a side effect. Or could it be a early sign of alzheimers disease? Its a disease my great grandmother died of..and she was fairly young..in her 40s. HELP!

Answers:

I don't think anyone in the history of mankind got Alzheimers in their teens. You don't need to worry about that. I don't think memory loss is a side effect of Zoloft either. Your mind probably just full of a lot of different things. Could be that your managing a lot of stuff at once, or else under a lot of stress. That could cause forgetfulness. Don't worry too much. Forgetfulness at your age is not something to worry about.
