It seems like I can never make friends?!

It seems like I can never make friends?

I'm 24 y.o. guy. Well groomed and well mannered.

I make an effort to be friendly and meet people, but it never seems like anyone wants to be my friend.

Everything is OK when I interact with people in a group. Things go along well.

But when it comes to one-on-one interaction, no one really wants to do it. I am so tired of this.

I don't act needy or even call a lot. I barely do. I think I'm friendly and listen, and never rude or mean.

EVERY ONE is like this. Why is it always so awkward?

Mind you, I'm much shorter and younger looking than my friends my age.

So this is one reason I think they don't want to hang out with me. They want to be around people like themselves

What type of people are you hanging out with? If your buddies are all chillin at the bar the convo might not be that great one on one. Im 24 too and I lost a whole bunch of friends because they drank and I didnt want to anymore. My really good friends I met doing something I liked to do which was sports or music. It helps doing an activity because all the pressure is off on trying to make convo. Also make sure you are happy with yourself.
