What do do for depression?

i feel like all the dr.s i've talked to want to tell me there is something wrong with me...but i feel like they are insulting me by thinking this..i feel sad all the time...there is nothing really wrong with my life...i'm just sad....i don't know how to tell them this without making them bug me for details or other crap..they think they can talk it out of me or i have something wrong with my family or boyfriend....i have an awesome boyfriend who would love to help me get through this and the few family members that live near me would too....its nothing to do with any of them...so why do i feel this way and why do i always feel lonely? the people around me are great....i just don't know why i'm always sad...

You have chronic depression. It's a disease that is widely recognized by doctors today. You've been seeing the wrong doctors!! Try a different doctor if you can, and if you can't, then be assertive!! You tell him you now know that you have chronic depression! As a fellow sufferer,I can promise you that this is a real disease, and there are many great medications that really work! Have a family member go with you. Doctors always treat you better if your mother or spouse or aunt is there with you. You have a disease, and these meds help adjust the seratonin in your brain. You really should have no problems getting the right med for you. In a couple weeks your whole world will change. Everything will make sense again. Your world will be sunny and bright again, just like its supposed to be. You owe it to yourself and to those who love you so much to really be happy, and not just going through the motions. You shouldn't be feeling sad. That just makes me want to cry because its so unnecessary. Please get help tomorrow. You'll be in my prayers tonight. Make an appt. with a new doctor tomorrow!! Take your BF or someone. Please.
