Should I tell someone? My boss was hitting on me.?!

Question:

Should I tell someone? My boss was hitting on me.?

I work with mostly men. Only one other girl and she is home at the moment (and 6 hours away). I am only 19 and my one boss (who is my father's age) acts like a father to me. He takes interest in my life and tries to teach me as much as he can about our profession. I also work with a man (who is about my grandfather's age, 76). He is a doctor. Currently my boss, who acts like my father is on vacation and left me in charge. The doctor I work for (the one that is 76) asked me to do a research project with him. I was really excited about this because it would work as my senior project and help me get in med school. But what he really wanted was to get me alone and hit on me. He told me that he wanted me to meet with him and said something about a relationship and that his intentions weren't honorable. Should I tell my other boss that this happened (the one that acts like my father) even though he works for this doctor too and has for 33 years? I'm afraid he'll try to hurt the doctor.

Answers:

just keep tabs on it. if he tries again, go to the hr dept if there is one. If not, tell someone else. If you can get evidence it would be great. It could be a police matter if he does anything indecent, but he is pretty old so just try and talk to someone without creating too many waves. You could check your workplace harrassment rules and if they are being breached your recommendation to med school will not be affected. In fact if you mention this before to someone you will have evidence if they try to sack you after you speak up.
