Inanimate Objects Becoming Animate?!

Question:

Inanimate Objects Becoming Animate?

I think these could be hallucionations but Im not sure. Twice now, I have seen inanimate objects become animate. Such as, one morning I woke up as usual, went into the bathroom, and then came out to find my bedroom door handle was being pushed down as if someone was trying to open the door from the inside of my room. Now, becuase I share a room with my sister, I thought she was just opening the door to get out. But when I opened the door into my bedroom, I found my sister fast asleep in bed, no where near the door handle. It would have been impossible for her to have got up, pull down the door handle and then jump back in bed, seeing as though all of this happened in a split second. After I found her lying asleep, I freaked out and ran downstairs to turn the TV on to calm me down. I didnt bother to tell my family becuase I thought they wouldnt beleive me or just thought I was seeing things. But it was VERY real.

Does this mean I was hallucionating, and if so, why?

The event that happened to me may seem very small but it was very terrifying at the time.

My second experience of inanimate objects becoming animate is much stranger and will be mentioned in part 2 of this question.

Answers:

You aren't hallucinating, you are imagining. When I get tired/stressed I see a black thing run past me really fast. And pretty much everybody I know has a story about seeing somebody standing by their bed or in the hallway and then disappears. Either you saw a ghost (unlikely) or your mind is playing tricks on you.
