How do I know if I'm emo or just depressed?!

How do I know if I'm emo or just depressed?

I'm really not sad all of the time, but I am more in tune with my feelings which are sad sometimes. I am not changing my hair to an emo style, but I have started wearing more black, my nails are almost always black, and I wear more black eye make-up. I started getting like that with my ex. He was a little emo (i like emo guys ok) and I started getting darker. Then when we broke up it got worse. At least my sadness did, and all the black. I have an emo friend who I am turning to alot and he has helped me alot even if it is only talking about eachothers problems. I won't commit suicide although sometimes I wish I could just lay there and stop breathing and peacefully die. I am no longer afraid of death, just a little bit scared of the pain before it. I have grown apprecitive of emo music and art. So does this mean I am going emo or depressed. No matter what I don't think I will ever be fully emo, cuz I still know how to have fun sometimes, and I'm not that into the emo style.

plz don't stereotype emos. I actually have had depression before when I was a kid (parents divorce, dad in Iraq, I had to choose it was hard)


Is it possible to be a little emo w/o being all out emo?

omg emo is a stupid fad style that kids are moking that they pretend they are depressed. If you are emo then just stop faking it. If you can't stop then you are depressed.

Talk to someone other than people on the internet.

I HATE EMO!!! Either be goth or just say that you are following a style. Emo is a gay style to choose but you go right ahead abd do it. You are just trying to fit in.


Emo kids need to be shipped off to the war. Then they would have something to be "depressed" about other than their boyfriends breaking up with them!!! God get a f*ing life, emo kids.
