Is this a mental disorder or personality disorder??
My husband gets into these "moods" I call them now. The short of it is if one thing in his day "sets him off or upsets him" then he gets on a roll and snowballs for the entire day. He runs around shouting about every little thing, insults me, and his moods seem unstable. Also sometimes when this happens he will be happy when he leaves and in this mood all of a sudden when he returns. I am worried about it. I hate not knowing what kind of person is coming home. Can anyone put a name to this?

Sounds like your husband has bi-polar disorder. Does he become very depressed for long periods of time then become very manic and not sleep very much. There are several types of mood disorders but it's sounds like you should contact your family doctor and make an appointment. Can you talk to your husband about your concerns about his changing moods, do you feel this is a safe option if so you should tell him how you feel.
