I don't know whether you are the counselor or client, but either way, if you truly love someone, you will do what is best for that person. I don't think any kind of deep counseling works if there is not genuine love in the room. In our culture, there's only one word for love, and it's often taken as romantic. There are other words, like agape, that mean love of a generous and selfless kind, the kind of love that would do anything to help the other person have a full life. Love in a counseling setting is agape love. If it becomes romantic, that's eros, then it's a problem. The counselor should seek supervision, and the client should be able to express the issue in session and have gentle guidance through it.
Be honest with yourself and the other person. Keep your boundaries clear and clean, and honor the feeling, but don't act it out. That almost never ends well.
