Can Zoloft make you really tired and lightheaded after taking it for 3 weeks?!

Question:

Can Zoloft make you really tired and lightheaded after taking it for 3 weeks?

I have been taking Zoloft for 3 weeks for panic attacks and general anxiety. The last week or so I have been increasingly tired and I am getting lightheaded for hours at a time about every other day. My blood pressure and sugar are fine. Has anyone has an experience like this or could it be something else?

Answers:

Zoloft can definitely cause those effects. Also, the fact that it took 3 weeks for the effects to begin means they're probably not "side effects". Many people feel tired on Zoloft (more than other similar meds, except maybe Paxil); some continue with it, some try a different medication. Lightheadedness, on the other hand, is probably not something you're going to want to live with. Since it has persisted for a week, I think you should definitely let your doctor know.
