i am not worried about it but its pretty interesting to know whether it might occur at all. that a person's mind registers himself as dead.

No. I'm still here. When under stress, I have some hum dingers. There was a while where I dreamt some one was pushing me off a cliff. I would fall and splatter on the rocks below. The ground would come up and just go through me, I would hurt like the dickens for a fraction of a second and then I would just start to float above my shattered remains. Same dream for three or four weeks in a row.
I stayed away from anything that looked even remotely like a cliff for months. I'm still here.
Give me a few more decades then I will probably die in my sleep barring a fatal accident.
