Mushrooms, ecstacy, and depression?!

Question:

Mushrooms, ecstacy, and depression?

I spent many occasions as a young man popping magic mushrooms and ecstacy, and have since learned the error of my ways. Nevertheless, I am left with bouts of crippling depression, feelings of insignificance and meaninglessness, that I know have been supplemeted by my drug use. Are there any resources I can use for psychiatric help?

ok well yes, i have always had a depressive personality, and many circumstantial factors in my life that are heart-wrenching and spirit-breaking. i took drugs because i was curious. now i feel little joy in life, and it hardly seems worth living. What I need to know is who I can see as soon as possible to help me piece my mind together?

Answers:

Just something I have noticed on the research I have done on psychedelics is that moderate use of them, between 1 and maybe 5 trips, if they are in a controlled, comfortable enviorment, at a reasonable dose, and maybe done with meditation or yoga a year can be very good for mental health, but abuse of them can be very bad.

hope my tid bit of info can help you find a bigger answers.

Ecstacy abuse can be very bad for mental health. But it is over come, maybe you should consider one last shroom trip, it might be the only way to axis that part of your brain.

This is just a suggestion not a solution, but things like excersise, yoga, meditation, budhism are all very good for finding a peace of mind.
